A' Industrial Design Awards 2026 Opens for Entries

A' Design Award & Competition, based in Como, Italy, officially opened entries for the 2026 edition of its A' International Industrial Design Awards on 20 August. The competition recognises industrial design across a broad range of categories, from consumer products and electronics to furniture, machinery and mobility solutions.

Entries go through a two-phase process: a complimentary preliminary evaluation, followed by a paid nomination stage for projects that pass. Industrial products and consumer goods developed within the last ten years are eligible to enter.

The entry deadline is set for 30 September 2026, with results scheduled to be announced on 1 May 2027. The organiser grants winners a design excellence certificate, a lifetime licence to use the winner's logo, inclusion in a yearbook of best designs, and exhibition of their work in Italy.

Award categories span consumer products, electronics, appliances, furniture, vehicles, packaging and lighting, among others. Judging criteria include innovation, ergonomics, manufacturability, material selection, usability and sustainability.

The competition is one of the more extensive design award programmes in the industry, offering winners a prepared press kit and distribution to press members worldwide.
