Privacy Policy

2C Magazine collects the least possible data from its visitors. This page explains what is processed, why, for how long, and how to have it removed.

What we process

• Newsletter: email address, optional name, signup date, signup page and explicit consent.
• Correspondence: the name and address you provide when writing to us.
• Membership: first and last name, email address, hashed password, signup and last-login times, and the IP address used at signup. Membership exists only so you can comment.
• Comments: the comment text, when it was written, and the IP address. Comments appear after editorial approval, shown with your first name and last initial (“Ömer Ç.”). Your email address is never published.
• Security log: admin actions and sign-in attempts, with time and IP address.
• Analytics: only if you accept cookies. Decline and no tracking code loads at all.

No payments are taken on this site; no card, identity or location data is processed.

Retention

Newsletter records are kept until you leave. On unsubscribe the record is marked “left” and no further email is sent. Full deletion on request. Correspondence is kept for at most two years.

Your membership account is kept until you ask us to delete it; deleting the account also deletes your comments. IP addresses in comments and the security log are kept alongside the record they belong to.

Sharing and transfer abroad

The newsletter list is held with our email provider Buttondown, which is based in the United States; your subscription record is therefore transferred outside Türkiye. The basis for that transfer is the explicit consent you give at signup — that is what the checkbox on the form is for. Withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link at the foot of every issue.

Membership and comment data are not sent to Buttondown or any other service; they stay on the server that hosts the site. Nothing is ever sold or used for advertising.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold, request correction or deletion, and object to processing. Write to hello@2cstd.com; we reply within 30 days.
