An exhibition inside a vineyard, in Tekirdağ until 10 September
Temas Bölgesi runs 14 June to 10 September 2026 at Barbare Vineyards in Tekirdağ, with seven artists looking at soil, grapes and microorganisms.
Temas Bölgesi (Contact Zone) opened on 14 June 2026 at Barbare Vineyards in Tekirdağ and runs until 10 September. Curated by T. Melis Golar, it brings together Ezgi Kılınçaslan, Sinem Dişli, İrem Apak, A. Serkan Aka, Rozelin Akgün, Fırat Engin and Pınar Marul. It is the second project by Barbare Studio, founded by Celine Topsakal.
The curatorial premise is a change of scale: moving, as the framing puts it, from binoculars to microscopes — away from the landscape and towards the soil, organisms, grapes and symbiotic relations that produce it. The works are site-specific, made in and for the vineyard rather than transported into it. Putting art inside a working agricultural business always risks turning the work into scenery; choosing the micro scale is a deliberate way of avoiding that. The closing date also coincides with the start of harvest.
