Open call for young photographers closes 15 August 2026

İFSAK, the Istanbul photography and cinema association, is taking submissions for its 2026-27 season-opening exhibition until 15 August 2026. The call is open to photographers aged 18 to 28. Selected works will be announced on 11 September 2026, and the exhibition opens on 3 October at İFSAK Galeri in Istanbul for a three-week run. Printing and installation costs are covered by the association.

The brief is deliberately wide: nature, portrait and street photography, documentary projects, studio work, conceptual and experimental pieces, mixed media and alternative printing techniques. The selection panel is Agop Ezgilioğlu, Cansu Yıldıran, Denef Huvaj, Haluk Çobanoğlu and Suzan Pektaş, with Huvaj curating. For young photographers in Turkey the bottleneck is rarely production; it is wall space and the cost of getting a file onto paper. Covering both is the concrete part of this call. The age bracket, 18 to 28, is narrow but precise: the first years after graduation, when output is highest and wall space scarcest. Four days remain to apply.
