Dutch Design Week runs from 17 to 25 October 2026 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. This edition is themed R.A.W. — rebel, authentic, worth — and spreads across roughly 120 venues, with more than 2,000 designers showing work and organisers expecting over 350,000 visitors across the nine days. The stated emphasis is not the polished final object but research, experiment and the act of making itself.

That framing is not a slogan invented for the poster. The week grew out of Eindhoven's relationship with Design Academy graduates, and the graduation show has long been its most discussed section; a school exhibition naturally resembles a workshop more than a trade floor. The risk of foregrounding the raw is that process hardens into its own style, unfinished as a look rather than a method. Even so, if you pick one European design stop this October, a week that shows method rather than result is the more useful one.
