Craft prize entries close on 15 October 2026

Entries for the tenth LOEWE Foundation Craft Prize close on 15 October 2026 at 23:59 CET. The winner receives €50,000, with up to two special mentions of €5,000 each. Finalists will be shown in a European exhibition in spring 2027; the city has not been named. Entry is open to professional artisans aged 18 and over, of any nationality, individually or collectively. Submitted work must be handmade or partly handmade, made in the last five years, and a one-of-a-kind piece.

Accepted disciplines include ceramics, bookbinding, enamel, jewellery, lacquer, metal, furniture, leather, textiles, glass, paper and wood. An expert panel reviews every entry and proposes thirty finalists to a fifteen-member jury chaired by Sheila Loewe, which includes the artist Ibrahim Mahama and 2026 winner Jongjin Park. The 2026 round drew more than 5,100 applications from 133 countries, a selection rate close to one percent — and still the widest international door open to unique handmade work.
