Art Basel Paris returns to the Grand Palais for its fifth edition, 23-25 October
Under new director Karim Crippa, the fair brings together more than 200 galleries from over 40 countries across three sectors at the Grand Palais.
Art Basel Paris will hold its fifth edition from 23 to 25 October 2026 at the Grand Palais. Preview Days are scheduled for 21 and 22 October, with a public Vernissage on 22 October and an invitation-only Avant-Première for galleries and their principal clients on 20 October.
This year marks the first edition under the direction of Karim Crippa. The fair brings together more than 200 exhibitors from over 40 countries and territories across its three sectors: Galeries, Emergence and Premise, including nearly 30 first-time participants.
Crippa has described the fair as having grown, edition by edition, into part of the cultural fabric of Paris, pointing to the concentration of institutional exhibitions and cross-disciplinary activity that surrounds it during fair week.
The 2026 edition arrives amid renewed momentum for the French art market. According to the Art Basel & UBS Global Art Market Report 2026, sales in France reached USD 4.5 billion in 2025, a 9% year-on-year increase following two years of contraction, returning above 2019 levels.
Links with fashion feature prominently this year, with editor Edward Enninful serving as guest curator for a day within the Conversations programme, and filmmaker Loïc Prigent leading the "Oh La La!" initiative.
Held at the newly renovated Grand Palais, the fair presents a full spectrum of modern and contemporary art, from painting and sculpture to video, installation, photography and digital art. Ticket and visitor information is available on the fair's official website.
