Texworld Split the Season into Twelve Signals: the Autopsy Trend Book
The Paris sourcing fair built its Autumn-Winter 2027-2028 trend book on twelve named creative signals instead of conventional trend groups. Its art directors are Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud.

Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris named its Autumn-Winter 2027-2028 trend book Autopsy. In the fair's own words the book deciphers the fractures of our time through twelve creative signals. That is a deliberate departure from the usual trend-group logic: named signals rather than colour families or material headings.
The twelve signals run: Normskin, Florabiote, Decarnation, Fusionary, Vitaminoid, Evinescence, Paleogreen, Chlorolirium, Aquamorphosis, Wondermeil, Urbicea, Epiternel. Most of the names are invented compounds, apparently built out of words for skin, plant, flesh, green, water and city.
How the fair wants the book used is stated plainly: “Conceived as a tool for decoding and creative monitoring, this trend book explores a society at a turning point.”
Art direction was by Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud; the June 2026 announcement names the two together.
Colour is not given shade by shade this time but described in families: muted greens, a neutral palette, explosive and contrasting colours, chlorophyll-inspired tones, deep tones and concrete-grey hues. Individual definitions for the twelve signals do not appear in the announcement either — those live in the book itself, or in the trend forum on site.
The book was shown in Hall 2 at the fair's 59th edition, held at the Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Centre from 31 August to 2 September 2026 with 1,054 exhibitors from 35 countries, 146 of them exhibiting for the first time. The post-show release also carries Nadège Lemoine, Director of Innovation and Marketing at Chargeurs PCC.
The following editions are announced: 25 to 27 January 2027 for Spring-Summer 2028 collections, and 6 to 8 September 2027 for Autumn-Winter 2028-2029.
